Rant

11 August 2018 by Brent
1 Samuel 15:3: Now go and attack Amalek. Claim everything they have for God by destroying it. Don’t spare them, but kill men and women, infants and children, cows and sheep, camels and donkeys.”

I just saw a post quoting this and slandering my God as a genocidal maniac. This really got my blood boiling.

You know what? God really really really hates sin – so much that he will destroy entire civilizations that are irredeemable.

God wiped out the entire earth with Noah’s flood because people’s hearts were continually evil and violence had consumed the Earth. Noah warned his generation for 120 years about the coming flood as he built the ark in which life was saved. 120 cultural historical and mythological accounts remember this. The geological and fossil evidence confirm this account. Geological features are consistent with the rapid run-off of water – just like we see produced by the tides on the beach. Fossils are mainly of animals and plants buried by catastrophic flood – ordered by less mobile, heavier creatures at the bottom and lighter, more agile creatures in higher strata.

Later God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah with fire and brimstone because of their rampant sexual immorality and xenophobia. Lot warned his neighbors of this for years prior. Areas around the dead sea evidence peculiar sulfur deposits and burned cities that remained uninhabited through the late bronze age. This was around the same time that a volcanic tsunami wiped out the Minoans with their institutionalized pedophilia.

Moses brought plagues upon Egypt because of their cruel treatment of the Hebrews, each time being warned in advance. Ultimately all of Egypt’s firstborn were killed. When Pharaoh and his army were wiped out by the Red Sea, the Hyksos moved in to the resulting power vacuum. It took centuries for Egypt to recover. Note, Egyptian chronology is purposely exaggerated to mis-align with biblical chronology. Coinciding events can be found in Egyptian history around 3,500BC(?), rather than the biblical 1,500BC.

In the above quoted case from the prophet Samuel, God used the Israelites to mete justice – that they would learn how serious God is about sin. After the Canaanite tribes broke the treaty of Noah’s grandsons to invade and claim that region, their evil increased. This culminated in rampant sexual immorality, ritual infanticide and genetic experimentation akin to a super-soldier program, producing evil giants that dwarfed Goliath. The native Americans – both north and south, Celts, Romans, Nords, Greeks and many others collaborate the evil of the giants. If you reject this context, then you have no business quoting the above as evidence of God’s genocide – you’re just picking the bits you wish to twist to your own evil intentions.

2 Peter 3:3 First, you must understand this: In the last days people who follow their own desires will appear. These disrespectful people will ridicule ⌊God’s promise⌋ 4 by saying, “What’s happened to his promise to return? Ever since our ancestors died, everything continues as it did from the beginning of the world.”
5 They are deliberately ignoring one fact: Because of God’s word, heaven and earth existed a long time ago. The earth ⌊appeared⌋ out of water and was kept alive by water. 6 Water also flooded and destroyed that world. 7 By God’s word, the present heaven and earth are designated to be burned. They are being kept until the day ungodly people will be judged and destroyed.

The above historically collaborated events demonstrate God’s judgement of sin. This gives credence to his promise to return to judge the world. Whether consciously or subconsciously, people reject God, not because he is unfair, but rather in denial of their own impending fate. God is taking his time, because he is giving you a chance to turn to him.

I’ve had enough

… of those slandering my people – those who “walk with God” – those Christians who follow Jesus’ ways to love and serve God and the people around them rather than to seek earthly gain. These slanderers take snippets of poorly understood ancient historic events to accuse my people of atrocities, yet deny the atrocities atheistic philosophies have brought in recent history. They take the actions of politicians and other power-mongers who twist my religion to justify their hatred of God and my people. Some equate Jesus with Mohammed to justify that all religion is evil. Jesus claims to be the [only] way the [only] truth and the [only] life – the only route to Heaven. Either he’s God or a madman – you can’t honestly glean the bits that tickle your ears and leave the uncomfortable bits. Allah claims the title of the greatest of deceivers. They’re simply not the same guy – regardless of what the Pope might say. He is just another very gifted politician. If the Pope believed in Jesus Christ, he would take opportunity to preach Jesus’ gospel of redemption from destruction – not world peace, like a beauty pageant contestant.

These slanderers follow a gospel preached in Darwin’s work “On the Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection, or the Preservation of Favoured Races in the Struggle for Life”. According to the latter part of this title, this book has inspired the genocides of Africans in WWI, Jews, Poles, Gypsies and Homosexuals in WWII, of the communist revolutions and the ongoing infanticide since 1973 called abortion – appeasingly marketed as pro-choice, but completely disregarding the choice of the unborn. By legal definition those who can’t speak for themselves choose to live. Choice begins before conception – to use contraceptives – that’s family planning. Abortion is infanticide, leaving the mother as a silent victim bereft of psychological and sociological support after having betrayed her maternal instinct under pressure from those around her. The same people who complain about their lost retirement savings have murdered those who would fund their retirement – talk about karma!!! Evolution teaches that the weak are worthless – the strong have a duty to terminate the weak, to purify the bloodlines. Evolutionists religiously defend their faith, relegating unbelievers as inferior, calling on them to be done away with in accordance with their doctrine. Creationists are called haters of science. Evolutionists waste millions trying to collaborate a theoretical story that in the beginning there was nothing and then it exploded; and a unified tree of all life, which ignores the in-viability of theoretical intermediate forms and its contradictions to scientific law taught in high school: Life begets life – after its own kind, all things tend to disorder and information (DNA) implies an author. Scientific experiments to create the building blocks of life fail, thus disproving spontaneous generation. This is a resurrection of the ancient scientific experiment that meat left for weeks will spontaneously produce maggots. These experiments do nothing to address the survival of such components in a toxic environment.
Evolutionists love to quote micro-evolution in exotic birds and turtles as their proof. This is vastly out shadowed by thousands of years of breeding from the canine pair that emerged from Noah’s ark to produce the extreme variance in dog breeds we love today. In dogs, we observe the limits God imposed on evolution in that our purebreds are so genetically deficient that further specialization just produces cruel hardly-viable mutations with heart disease, bad bones, restricted breathing etc.

Those who do good in God’s name are enviously slandered, having heaped upon them false accusations, projecting the failures of the few as rampant, endemic exploitation and destruction of those being helped and donations towards their cause. In reality, Christian organizations still lead the way to combat poverty, famine, disease, inequality, slavery and prostitution. Most of their workers are volunteers or people receiving less than a living wage. In contrast other organizations squander donations in exorbitant salaries and fundraising agencies, with a small percentage of donations ever reaching the intended recipients.

Those who do evil in society that are not clearly Muslim are labeled as Christian as if there exist only those two possibilities. The reality is that the infamous mass shooters of recent history claim inspiration from evolution. There’s also some warped, self-ostracized sects that have rejected the general consensus of the various church denominations.

This slandering is not limited to Christians, but also authority, constantly seeking fault in our leaders, rather than supporting them to lead us. This undermining of our political leaders is rampantly pushing us towards anarchy (left-wing) or tyranny (right-wing).

Our police are slandered for excessive violence and our soldiers for fighting a meaningless war. These same slanderers demand that government care for our veterans – whose wars they likewise protested.

Ultimately this adversity to God and all that is good serves Satan. Satan is the Hebrew word for “adversary” – Satan is the adversary of God and humankind. Satan was the first to rebel against God, seeking to serve his own desires and make himself great. As in the garden of Eden, he promises his followers knowledge, greatness and a false freedom, which is enslavement to their own desires. In this life and the next he ultimately brings destruction and defilement.

Jesus calls on us to turn away from our evil, rebellious, slanderous ways, offering himself as the sacrifice necessary to resolve our alienation from our Father God.

John 3:16 God loved the world this way: He gave his only Son so that everyone who believes in him will not die but will have eternal life. 17 God sent his Son into the world, not to condemn the world, but to save the world. 18 Those who believe in him won’t be condemned. But those who don’t believe are already condemned because they don’t believe in God’s only Son.
19 This is why people are condemned: The light came into the world. Yet, people loved the dark rather than the light because their actions were evil. 20 People who do what is wrong hate the light and don’t come to the light. They don’t want their actions to be exposed. 21 But people who do what is true come to the light so that the things they do for God may be clearly seen.

You are without excuse. Just as God judged the ancients, he will judge you too. Will the judge reward you for the good you have done, or will you be condemned for the evil you have committed your life to?

About Brent

As the son of life-long pastors of the Salvation Army, I grew up surrounded by God and solid Bible teaching. Although a professional software engineer, I’ve always been a church musician and am preoccupied with contemplating God and understanding and defending the integrity of the Bible. Brent presents an unusual, provocative perspective.

I hope to leave you with more questions than answers and a desire to seek God.
