God’s words of healing
I just put together a booklet for a friend I ministered to this week, praying for healing from mental and spiritual afflictions.
This week, I heard the testimony of a guy whose faith was strengthened by hearing the word of God. I felt that I should collate some scriptures for you to repeat over regularly, which will build your faith and thus assist in your healing and growth in the Lord. I recommend reading these out loud, as God’s word is particularly effective when heard. I pray that God would bless these words to your spirit.
In compiling these scriptures, this will be most useful for me also, to build my faith. God is good. We’re all on this journey together. Thank you for allowing me to minister to you and bearing with my inadequacies in this area.
I’ve also compiled this into a video so you can just relax and listen to it.
Proverbs 4:20-22 My child, pay attention to what I say; listen to my words. Don’t let them out of your sight, keep them within your heart; for they are life to those who find them and health to your whole body.
Isaiah 33:2 Lord, be gracious to us; we long for you. Be our strength every morning, our salvation in time of distress.
James 5:6 Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.
1 Peter 2:24 He himself bore our sins in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed.
John 14:27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
Matthew 11:28-30 Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon yourself and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.
Isaiah 40:29 He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.
1 Corinthians 10:13 No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.
Psalms 107:19-21 Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and he saved them from their distress. He sent out his word and healed them; he rescued them from the grave. Let them give thanks to the LORD for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for mankind.
Psalms 30:2 Lord my God, I called to you for help, and you healed me.
Psalms 34:17-22 The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles. The Lord is close to the broken-hearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. The righteous person may have many troubles, but the Lord delivers him from them all; he protects all his bones, not one of them will be broken. Evil will slay the wicked; the enemies of the righteous will be condemned. The Lord will rescue his servants; no one who takes refuge in him will be condemned.
Psalms 103:2-4 Praise the Lord, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits – who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion.
Psalms 6:2 Have mercy on me, Lord, for I am faint; heal me, Lord, for my bones are in agony.
Psalms 41:2-3 The Lord protects and preserves them – they are counted among the blessed in the land – he does not give them over to the desire of their enemies. The Lord sustains them on their sickbed and restores them from their bed of illness.
Psalms 41:4 I said, “Have mercy on me, Lord; heal me, for I have sinned against you.”
Psalms 147:3 He heals the broken-hearted and binds up their wounds.
Psalms 23 The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake. Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
Psalms 30:10-11 Hear, Lord, and be merciful to me; Lord, be my help. You turned my mourning into dancing; you removed my mourner’s clothes and clothed me with joy
Psalms 73:26 My body and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.

1 John 4:4 You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.
Matthew 8:28
When He had come to the other side, to the country of the Gergesenes, there met
Him two demon-possessed men, coming out of the tombs, exceedingly fierce, so
that no one could pass that way. 29And suddenly they cried out,
saying, “What have we to do with You, Jesus, You Son of God? Have You come here
to torment us before the time?”
30Now a good way off from them there was a herd of many pigs
feeding. 31So the demons begged Him, saying, “If You cast us out,
permit us to go away into the herd of pigs.”
32And He said to them, “Go.” So, when they had come out, they went
into the herd of pigs. And suddenly the whole herd of pigs ran violently down
the steep place into the sea and perished in the water.
Matthew 12:43 When an unclean spirit goes out of a man, he goes through dry places, seeking rest, and finds none. 44Then he says, ‘I will return to my house from which I came.’ And when he comes, he finds it empty, swept, and put in order. 45Then he goes and takes with him seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter and dwell there; and the last state of that man is worse than the first. That’s what it will be like with this wicked generation.
Revelation 20:10 And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulphur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever.
Ephesians 6:10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11Put on the full armour of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
Luke 4:31 Then
he went down to Capernaum, a town in Galilee, and on the sabbath he taught the
people. 32They were amazed at his teaching, because his words
had authority. 33In the synagogue there was a man possessed by
a demon, an impure spirit. He cried out at the top of his voice, 34“Go
away! What do you want with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us?
I know who you are—the Holy One of God!” 35“Be quiet!” Jesus
said sternly. “Come out of him!” Then the demon threw the man down before them
all and came out without injuring him. 36All the people were
amazed and said to each other, “What words these are! With authority and power,
he gives orders to impure spirits and they come out!” 37And the
news about him spread throughout the surrounding area.
38Jesus left the synagogue and went to the home of Simon. Now
Simon’s mother-in-law was suffering from a high fever, and they asked Jesus to
help her. 39So he bent over her and rebuked the fever, and it
left her. She got up at once and began to wait on them.
40At sunset, the people brought to Jesus all who had various kinds
of sickness, and laying his hands on each one, he healed them. 41Moreover,
demons came out of many people, shouting, “You are the Son of God!” But he
rebuked them and would not allow them to speak, because they knew he was the
Messiah.

Mark 9:14
And when He came to the disciples, He saw a great multitude around them, and
scribes disputing with them. 15Immediately, when they saw Him, all
the people were greatly amazed, and running to Him, greeted Him. 16And
He asked the scribes, “What are you discussing with them?”
17Then one of the crowd answered and said, “Teacher, I brought You
my son, who has a mute spirit. 18And wherever it seizes him, it
throws him down; he foams at the mouth, gnashes his teeth, and becomes rigid.
So, I spoke to Your disciples, that they should cast it out, but they could
not.”
19He answered him and said, “O faithless generation, how long shall
I be with you? How long shall I bear with you? Bring him to Me.” 20Then
they brought him to Him. And when he saw Him, immediately the spirit convulsed
him, and he fell on the ground and wallowed, foaming at the mouth.
21So He asked his father, “How long has this been happening to him?”
And he said, “From childhood. 22And often he has thrown him both
into the fire and into the water to destroy him. But if You can do anything,
have compassion on us and help us.”
23Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to
him who believes.”
24Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears,
“Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!”
25When Jesus saw that the people came running together, He rebuked
the unclean spirit, saying to it: “Deaf and dumb spirit, I command you, come
out of him and enter him no more!” 26Then the spirit cried out,
convulsed him greatly, and came out of him. And he became as one dead, so that
many said, “He is dead.” 27But Jesus took him by the hand and lifted
him up, and he arose.
28And when He had come into the house, His disciples asked Him
privately, “Why could we not cast it out?”
29So He said to them, “This kind can come out by nothing but prayer
and fasting.”

John 14:12
Most surely, I tell you, he who believes in Me, will also do the things that I
do; and he will do even greater works than these, because I go to My
Father. 13And whatever you ask in My name, I will do it, that
the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14If
you ask anything in My name, I will do it.
15If you love Me, keep My commandments. 16And
I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He
may stay with you forever – 17the Spirit of truth, whom
the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you
know Him, since He dwells with you and will be in you. 18I
will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.
19A little while longer and the world will see Me no more,
but you will see Me. Because I live, you will live also. 20At
that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you in Me,
and I in you. 21He who has My commandments and keeps them, it
is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will
love him and manifest Myself to him.
Revelation 12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.
I pray God would richly bless you as you meditate on his words.
Shalom
