This book is the result of a lifetime nourished by God’s love and guidance. It would not be possible without wonderful family and friends who surround me.

Particularly my amazing wife Tanja who supports me even while studying post-grad psychology in a vain hope to understand me ;-). And my kids who put up with long discussions about the Bible and my obsessiveness which takes away my attention from them.

Also, my parents who have accompanied me through the first decades of my life and provided a spiritually rich environment, which made it so much easier to get to know God personally. And a long heritage of godly ancestors, who are cheering me on from Heaven and looking forward to our acquaintance.

I also want to mention one of my homestay students whose excitement to be hosted with a Christian family meant that they could learn about Christianity. This was the first time I began reading through Luke together as an introduction to Christianity. What better way is there to learn about Christianity than to read about and study Jesus’ life from the Bible itself?
