The Story of the Bible
King Solomon

King Solomon: 950BC

When David died, his son Solomon became his successor, establishing Israel as a regional military and economic power. People came from all over the world to hear his wisdom and knowledge. He built a great Temple and an exquisite palace. When the Temple was dedicated, Solomon prayed that if the people turned from God and were exiled to a foreign land, if they would turn to the Temple and recommit themselves to God, then God would hear their prayer and restore them to their land. 2 Chronicles 7
